Lee Broom for Diez Company | Mexico City Art Week 2026

Marking his debut exhibition in Mexico, Lee Broom transformed the historic Diez Company showroom villa into The Resident, an immersive installation unveiled during Mexico City Art Week 2026. Conceived as a creative residency within the architecturally distinguished home, the presentation brought together more than 50 of Broom’s works in a sculptural narrative of light, collectible design, and contemporary art. At its center, the monumental Hail Chandelier cascaded through the soaring atrium, anchoring a room-by-room journey that balanced dramatic scale with moments of intimacy, including hand-sculpted pieces from the Requiem series.

Among the featured collaborations was Overture, created with Calico Wallpaper and inspired by trompe-l’oeil drapery. Integrated into the layered interiors of The Resident, Overture introduced a rich architectural surface that deepened the dialogue between light, materiality, and space. Presented in close collaboration with Diez Company, the exhibition marked one of Broom’s most expansive showcases in Latin America and a significant moment for Calico within Mexico City’s dynamic design landscape.
