Friedman Benda | MAZE St. Moritz 2026

For its inaugural presentation at MAZE St. Moritz, Friedman Benda partnered with Calico Wallpaper to envelop the booth in Aurora, a collection designed by Sabine Marcelis. Known for its atmospheric gradients and luminous depth, Aurora transforms the space into an immersive environment, with subtle shifts of color and light that echo Marcelis’ exploration of translucency and materiality.

Against this backdrop, a curated selection of works by Ettore Sottsass, Andrea Branzi, Wendell Castle, Estúdio Campana, Joris Laarman, Raphael Navot, Carmen D’Apollonio, and Thaddeus Wolfe unfolds in dialogue. The presentation highlights both historic and contemporary voices in design, while Aurora provides a unifying visual field that is soft yet dimensional, ethereal yet architectural, demonstrating how wallcovering can shape atmosphere and elevate the experience of design within a space.
