Nick and Rachel Cope, founders of the wallpaper brand Calico , have a weekend retreat just a two-and-a-half-hour drive from their Brooklyn , New York, studio-home. “ We were looking for a place closer to nature, without cutting ourselves off from our work and our community, ” Nick explains. In the midst of the pandemic, this couple with two children began searching for a second home where the family could live differently while having more space.
