Athena Calderone Apartment

Athena Calderone has a deep passion for richly textured and expressive materials like parchment, silver leaf, etched glass, and distinctive stone, which is reflected in her evolving design sensibility. Once enamored with a grand Calacatta Paonazzo marble island, she has since upgraded to a striking red Kinnekulle limestone centerpiece in her new kitchen, showing her constant pursuit of something more compelling. Embracing growth, she has also ventured into hardware design and sees it as an opportunity to expand creatively. This next chapter unfolds in a Manhattan apartment she purchased with her husband in 2023, marking a shift from her long-standing Brooklyn life, where she built an influential design career and lifestyle brand, toward a renewed exploration of her aesthetic and ambitions.
