Tom Dixon Worldwide Campaign

Recognizing a shared interest in creating exceptional domestic environments, Tom Dixon approached Calico Wallpaper in 2015 with an opportunity to collaborate on a show booth for a global marketing campaign. Upon the project’s completion he stated that “the bold, dramatic and fearless marbling of the Calico Wallpaper has provided us with a superior backdrop for our latest adventures in lighting and furniture design.”

Inspired by Tom Dixon’s latest product line, which is rich in coppery metallic tones, Calico Wallpaper designed a custom version of Night Indigo from their inaugural collection. The installation was part of a global marketing plan, which included shop-in-shops at Harrods, IMM Cologne, and a The Cinema in Milan where Tom Dixon caused a celebratory stir with a one night only performance by ROUGH—a band he formed with Bradford Shellhammer, co-founder of fab.com.

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British product design brand. With a commitment to innovation and a mission to revive the British furniture industry, the brand is inspired by the nation’s unique heritage and produces extraordinary objects for everyday use. Tom Dixon’s work has been acquired by museums across the globe including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of Modern Art New York and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris.
