Karen Fairchild’s Nashville Home
Interior designer Rachel Halvorson worked her magic on the beautiful home of country music icons Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook and created a space with an Old Hollywood feel but located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Originally the home of prior country music icon Tammy Wynette, Rachel’s huge renovation on the home kept the original footprint with unique curved interior walls and large windows that open up but elevated other aspects to create a modern-take on classic design. Rachel and the owners wanted to accent this more subdued space with a “wow factor,” which is where Night in Slate became an obvious choice. An accent wall punctuating the entrance of the home atop a sweeping stairway, it sets the tone for the rest of the house which is full of unexpected surprises that are a perfect mix of earthy and chic.
